Imagine a vacation where the only things you hear are the birds, a gentle breeze in the trees and nothing but peace. Our beautiful 2,300 square foot, 3 story home is set in 3 completely private tranquil, pine and aspen woodland acres of high Colorado mountain woodland.

This is a reality when you stay at "Woodland Park Retreat", in the beautiful Rocky Mountain alpine paradise of Woodland Park just 40 minutes from Colorado Springs, Colorado, U.S.A.

We have named our home "Woodland Park Retreat" and are renting it to help us keep it for our retirement!

It has 3 spacious bedrooms and a huge 21 ft loft, all with quality comfy, beds, designer bathroom fixtures with Corian counters and map cabinets, a luxury cherry wood fully fitted designer kitchen with "talking" fridge/freezer, all stainless steel appliances, Corian countertops and island.

    The home features:
  • Three Bedrooms, one Queen and two Double
  • Loft Bedroom with a Four Poster Double and two Twin beds
  • Luxurious Bathroom fixtures and fittings with Corian counters
  • Designer Kitchen with Microwave (including convection oven, another full oven, dishwasher (silent), Side by side designer "talking" fridge/freezer with Ice and Water Bar, Corian Counters and Island
  • Great Room including Dining Room;
  • Living Room with TV, DVD, Video, Stereo including Movie and Book "library"
  • Family Room including Exercise Equipment: Nordik Track, Stepper, 2lb to 5lb weight sets , card table, sofa and board games including Pictionary, Monopoly, Jigsaws, Scrabble, Chess - compendium games etc.
  • Laundry Room (main level) - outside drying available
  • Play House for children
  • Spa (lower deck with Hammock) and stairs to woods and seat
  • Deck (upper) with Patio Dining furniture, Chairs and Barbecue

In spring, high mountain alpine flowers are in abundance and you will see entire fields of the beautiful yellow black- eyed Susan's (like small sunflowers) or a myriad of the red bell tulip flowers that the hummingbirds like so much!

There is a hummingbird feeder in the tree growing through the deck so you get a close up view!

Winter time is deceiving - you could have a foot of snow but with the strong winter sunshine it may disappear in a day or two and Christmas has been known to be 60 degrees and "sitting on the deck" weather. One thing for sure, a snow storm is magical and snow is short lived in this climate. In Colorado we have a saying "if you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes!"

Driving Directions
WOODLAND PARK is about 18 miles or around a 20 minute drive from COLORADO SPRINGS going WEST on HIGHWAY 24 towards MANITOU SPRINGS/Pikes Peak. The road winds up through a mountain pass on a two lane highway drive. Woodland Park is often called "City Above the Clouds" as it is at an elevation of approximately 8600 feet.
From Woodland Park to the Retreat takes about 10 to 15 Minutes.

Guests will be given their own map for the final part of the journey.
