Over 40 years ago, Alex & Bertha Popp fell in love with an aerial photo of a sandy cove with coconut palms. The two-acre bayfront property with 10 cottages, protective seawall, boat ramp, and fishing pier became their home, known as Popp's Motel. With the Everglades, Florida Bay, and Coral Reef at their doorstep, guests have arrived from around the world to swim, sun, fish, dive and relax in their tropical paradise.
Enjoy our private sandy beach under the canopy of swaying palms with grills and picnic tables, chickee huts, children's playhouse and hammocks. Swim or paddle into the panorama of spectacular reflecting sunsets with waterbirds and dolphins in the wild.
