Country Cottage - Butler, West Pennsylvania
The Country Cottage Getaway is located back a
long private country lane on the Lawrence County, Butler County line in
Western Pennsylvania.
McConnell's Mill State Park with it's miles long Slippery Rock creek gorge, mid
1800's mill building, covered bridge, miles of hiking trails, and beautiful rock
formations, is 1/2 mile from the front door.
Moraine State Park is 10 minutes driving time away. Swimming, fishing boating,
picnicking, and 7 1/2 mile bike trail (with bicycle rental) are the feature activities at
this popular park.
If you like to shop, the Grove City Factory Shops are just 18 miles north . Main
Street Volant with it's scores of shops is 15 miles. Many fine antiques shops can
be found in our "neck of the woods."
Good restaurants abound 10 to 30 minutes in practically any direction you
choose to ramble from the cottage's.
While we're not a motel, we will supply you with a furnished cottage sleeping
four to six. Don't fuss with linens, dish soap, dishes, or silverware. They are
provided.
The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave,
coffeemaker, can opener, and toaster. A television, air conditioner, and radio are
provided. There is a large deck with a charcoal grill and furniture as well. A fire
ring with some wood for a campfire too.
In the cooler months, warm yourself by the romantic stone fireplace lit by gas
logs.
So for a slower paced, not far away, not too expensive, quiet vacation or
weekend, you cannot lose.
Visit us spring, summer, fall or winter. We are open year round.
We also have a smaller cottage, sleeping 2-4. It is a one bedroom with a queen
bed and double sleeper sofa in the living room. The linens and utensils are also
provided. Relax inside on hot summer days with the
whole house air conditioning. Or stretch out on the patio with a 30 foot awning
overhead.
