Countrywide Cottages is set on a magnificent 26 acre property, 16 acres of which is pristine bushland in the Otway foothills. The rear of the property provides easy walking access to the delightful Otway Forest Park (formerly known as Angahook State Park). Native birds abound, kangaroos, echidnas and koalas occasionally visit. Pink heath and native orchids are in profusion in season. A naturalists delight!
COTTAGES - PETS WELCOME Each cottage is decorated in it's own theme - choose from a Castle, a Villa, a Beach House and now, the brand new Igloo! All have open planned living/lounge, dining and kitchen areas and are heated with cosy wood heaters, as well as split system heating/cooling for a more instant result. The Igloo is purpose built for wheelchair access. Outdoors you will find a private wood BBQ, picnic table and camp fire in front of your cottage. A picnic set is provided for outdoor use. Walks start from your front door, meandering around the property and out over the fence through to the Otway Forest Park. We are a non smoking property - sand pots are provided on verandas.
King Arthur, eat your heart out. Lords and Ladies, your castle awaits you. Perfectly appointed for groups of up to 8, or play your own Lord and Lady in this very popular cottage. This is one of our three bedroom cottages which sleeps up to eight people. The two master bedrooms have beautifully appointed four poster queen size beds. The third has two sets of bunks. A huge dining table cries out for fabulous dinners. Come over and Lord it over your Lady - or perhaps it will be the other way around? THE VILLA Any Shirley Valentines out there? Take in the warmth of Greece without that exhausting flight. Allow the bliss of the bush surrounds lull you to sleep in your own Mediterranean Villa. The second of our three bed roomed cottages, this sleeps up to eight people. Two master bedrooms, each with queen beds. The third bedroom has two sets of bunks. Retsina and Olives anyone? THE BEACH HOUSE Bulla bulla! Feel the warmth and welcome of Fiji with this wonderfully appointed cottage. Full of Fijian artefacts and beautiful photographs of previous trips there, you will delight in the cosy atmosphere. Featuring two bedrooms, this cottage sleeps up to five people. It has a queen sized bed in the Master and a set of bunks and a single bed in the second bedroom. Anyone for a swim? THE IGLOO Our newest addition and in honour of the owners' recent time living in the Canadian Arctic, this cottage is custom built for wheelchair access. It has ramp entry, widened doors, extra space around furniture, wheel in shower and wheel under benches/cook top. It also has a washer/dryer and wheel under bench top trough in the laundry and gas log fire in addition to the split air-conditioning. Delightfully decorated in the blues and whites of the Arctic and dotted with Inuit art, books and artefacts, this is one not to be missed. The Igloo features two bedrooms, sleeping 6.
