STONE COTTAGE Giba Gunyah means "Stone Shelter" and original cottage at Giba Gunyah is a fairy tale cottage built originally out of timber from the property and large boulders from the river. The cottage, built by well known water colour artist Ray Barnett and his wife Beatrice, sits high on the bushy hill overlooking lush farming paddocks and the Bemboka River. Sited in a shady cottage style garden, the cottage remains pleasantly cool during the summer months and in winter is made snug with a cosy log fire. PINE COTTAGE The Pine cottage is a mellow timber lined hexagon, purpose built for wheelchair access. It has a large kitchen & living area, spacious bathroom, two bedrooms and a light and airy living space. Pinewood is also heated by a log fire. The cottage enjoys a northerly aspect, with views to the bush clad ridges surrounding Bemboka Peak. It is set in a large fenced native garden and is surrounded by a shady grape and wisteria draped pergola. Giba Gunyah is a wonderful place for you to holiday along with your pets. Each cottage has its own large fenced secluded garden with lots of places to sniff and explore. Dogs can safely be left for a few hours while you explore the area if you are sure they will not fret or jump the fences however there are many leash free areas for your pet to explore with you. They will also love exploring the fire trail or swimming in the river and the dam. Our farm and native animals are important to us and we just ask that you respect the farm and native animals on our property and those of our neighbours.
