Hotel Aiken is located in the true heart of historic downtown Aiken. We are proud to be Aiken's truly "Grand Hotel" and the only full-service hotel in town. Originally built in 1898 the Hotel has gone through many changes and the original building was totally renovated in 2001, with the accent on retaining the historical feel of this landmark building whilst providing all the modern amenities one would expect from a full-service Hotel. We are within walking distance of some of Aiken's best restaurants, bars and renowned antique stores. Our restaurant, Vino Veritas, offers authentic northern Italian cuisine and we have just added an exciting Asian Fusion concept with authentic curry dishes. Our award-winning bar, The Polo Tavern, is Aiken's most popular watering hole and offers live entertainment every weekend and is open seven days a week until 2:00 AM. We offer a landscaped, serene pool area at the back of the Hotel (in season) and special rates with the historic Aiken Golf Club for our guests. Exit the Bush Field Airport onto Doug Bernard Pkwy, turn right toward Augusta, GA. Continue until you reach the intersection of Dough Bernard Pkwy and Gordon Hwy, turn right onto Gordon Hwy. Continue on Gordon Hwy, traveling East for about 18 miles until you reach Aiken City Limits. The road name will change to Richland Avenue. Just past the intersection of Richland Avenue and Laurens Street, Hotel Aiken is located on the right. There is parking directly in fron of the Hotel or just after the main entrance to the Hotel on the right.
This highway, from Charleston, SC brings you straight into downtown Aiken. It turns into Richland Avenue as you enter Aiken City limits and brings you straight in front of the hotel.
At exit 18, Hwy 19, make a right and travel approximately 8 miles into downtown, in a SE direction. Hwy 19 turns into Laurens Street and will intersect with Richland Avenue. Take a left at the intersection and Hotel Aiken is on the corner. Look for the burgundy awnings.
At exit 22, Hwy 1, make a left and travel approximately 8 miles into downtown to Richland Avenue and make a right. Drive three blocks and you will see Hotel Aiken located on your left at the corner of Richland Avenue and Laurens Street.
