Located in the heart of Starkville - at the corners of Main St and Jackson St - The Hotel Chester is Starkville's only full-service hotel. We also offer extremely competitive rates that include a full, hot breakfast served in our restaraunt, The Landmark Cafe. Hotel Chester is Starkville's oldest and newest Hotel. It is individually listed on the Nation Register of Historic Places and is located in the Old Main District of Starkville's bustling and historic downtown, where shops, restaurants and entertainment spots are all within easy walking distance of the Hotel. After going through extensive structural and cosmetic renovations in 1985 (then known to many as the Ivy Guest House) in the early 1990's it became the State House Hotel. The property has again undergone extensive renovations of the public areas and all 37 guest rooms and suites, and reopened on August 16th under the original name given the property in 1925. Hotel Chester's mission is to provide a well-rounded line of hospitality products with culinary and service standards commensurate with the era in which this lovely lady was born.

The bed is 30 inches high with a thick, plush mattress and is exceptionally comfortable.
Executive King:
Very Large King Room with Queen Sofa Sleeper Spacious, Quiet, Inside Room for Up To 4 ppl Executive King - EXEK - The room has 10 foot high ceilings and is in a quiet location with the capacity to sleep up to 4 people. It houses a work desk with high speed internet connectivity, coffee table to spread your work out, 25 inch color TV with cable and a wet bar. The beds are 30 inches high and extremely comfortable.
Handicap King:
First Floor, Single King, Handicap Equipped Great Room for the Fully Ambulatory as well. Handicapped Accessible King - HCPK - Large room with a king bed and completely new bathroom. Exquisite shower room the everyone will love, with ceiling mounted rainforest shower head. Completely tiled. The room has 12 foot high ceilings, 27 inch high king bed with a thick, comfortable mattress, work desk with high speed internet connectivity, an easy chair and a 27 inch color TV and cable.
Queen Suite:

The Landmark Cafe is a great place to see and be seen with an open and comfortable floor plan that encourages a casual yet sophisticated dining experience. The menu includes international favorites, traditional French sauces, Mediterranean flavors and Asian delicacies with Southern Regional influences. The Landmark Cafe is Starkville*s best dining environment, with terrific culinary delights delivered by a professional service staff. Open Monday to Saturday from 5pm. The Library is an intimate conversation bar with comfortable seating options from a mix and mingle main bar area to an offset lounge seating area for those desiring moderation and seclusion. Great for pre-dining business discussions or an after dining nightcap. Open Monday thru Saturday from 5pm. Big Daddy*s Espresso, etc., is an architecturally elegant space with entrances on Main Street and from within the Hotel, where hot and cold espresso beverages, pastries and other baked delights are served throughout the day. Lunch is served Monday thru Friday from 11am. There*s a drink rail along Main Street and a study counter with high speed internet connections. Wireless internet is also available throughout the room. From 5pm wine by the glass, beer and specialty coffee drinks are also available. *Big Daddy's is currently closed for renovations and innnovations*
