LAKES RESTAURANT offers traditional local cuisine in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Open every day for breakfast from 6.30am 10.00am, lunch from 12 noon to 2.00pm and dinner from 6.00pm to 10.00pm. The MALLARDS BAR, located adjacent to the foyer and Lakes Restaurant, is open daily from 11.30am 11.00pm [later if required]. The HANGI and CONCERT, an international banquet complemented by steamed Hangi foods then followed by a dynamic display of Maori culture in the form of story-telling, song and dance is presented in the Baycrest Room every evening at 7.00pm. ROOM SERVICE is available 24 hours. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the town centre so there is easy access to a number of restaurants.
